ITS A GIRL!!! We found out today (almost completely positive) that we're having a girl! We decided on the name Ashlynn Dianne! We can't wait to meet her! We were going to be incredibly thrilled one way or another, but now we can't wait for our princess! She's going to be such a rotten little Daddy's girl!!

Catch up

wow! Its been almost a year since I've posted. I guess its because I couldn't remember which email and password I used! Here's a brief catch up!

1. Daniel is not at the airport anymore. He graduated from Flight School and is working as a Field Operator for Packers Plus, which is in the Natural Gas Industry. He's great at his job and provides wonderfully for our family! Sometimes he is home a lot, sometimes he has to travel as far as Virginia, but its all worth it in the end!

2. I am no longer working in "the poop clinic." I wanted to leave for a while, and Daniel finally talked me into it. It has been the best decision in my life! I am able to spend a little bit more time on school for now!

3. I'm working as the Nurse at Life Choices, where I do ultrasounds and pregnancy tests for girls and women. I think it is the most rewarding experience I have ever had in my entire life. Its a Christian Pregnancy Resource Center, and we work to counsel the girls against having abortions, and sometimes seeing the ultrasound makes all the difference in the world. Its incredible and I love every second of it! I love the women I work with and the women we serve!

4. I'm also working pool at Geriatric Psych at Conway Regional. Its okay, nothing compared to Life Choices, but it pays the bills. I'm also working pool at Faulkner County Day School filling in for their amazing nurse when she can't be there.

5. I'm in clinicals now for my Masters! I'm doing my Women and Childrens clinicals this semester and have already learned a lot. I am with my OB/GYN, Amy Johnson for the first part of the semester and will be with Lisa Martin for my Peds soon. Dr. Johnson has been an amazing preceptor and I know that Lisa will too! I'm so fortunate to be working with such great women!

6. I'M PREGGERS! Yes, thats right! 15 1/2 weeks along now! There will be more posts about this, but I thought you needed to be caught up on the rest first. We are so incredibly excited and can't wait to find out the sex! Hopefully we will know this upcoming week!! PICTURES TO COME!!

Thanks for reading, I promise to post more now! :)

Pneumonia

Well, its official. I have Pneumonia. I felt great on Saturday, went shopping with Holly, yada yada yada... Sunday morning woke up NOT feeling so great. Didn't make it to church because I had a fever. I didn't go into work Monday and HATED missing work. I went in this morning, even with the cough, etc. but no fever. I got there and they had me go get a Chest Xray because my cough sounds horrible. The radiologist called me with a critical result and it was pneumonia. I went to see my doctor this afternoon, he said it was pretty dense, and gave me some antibiotics. Hopefully I'll be back to myself soon and things won't get worse. A hospital stay would NOT be exciting! Anyway, I've just got to try to take it easy (even though that is technically impossible for me) and we'll see how that goes...

School Days, School Days....

Well, we're both back to school. However, Daniel will be DONE in November, and I'll keep on going. This semester he's got a leadership class and an ethics class. In my opinion, those are on the top of my list of most boring subjects! Hopefully he can muster through and be done for good! I'm taking Curriculum, Health Policy and Leadership, and Pharmacology.

We've enjoyed watching the 2008 Olympics, but we're ready for our normal shows to be on tv. I want to be a syncronized swimmer - how fun would that be?!

Good luck to everyone thats headed back to school! This is going to be a great year!

End of Semester!

Today marked the end of my 3rd semester in my Nurse Practitioner program! I'm so excited to be on such a good roll! Daniel has one term left, and will be done in November, and I'll finish classes next Summer, then do Clinicals starting next fall. I'll be done in December 2010 and that can't come soon enough!

We're really stressed out with school full time and working full time, but we know it will be worth it in the end! While others I graduated with are working and then enjoying free time, I'm still crunching away at the books. Hard work, but it will all pay off soon!

1 year old cake

So, we ate our one year old cake yesterday, and it honestly wasn't that bad! we were joking about it having hair on it and turning green, but it tasted almost as good as it did 365 days ago! My mom probably used a whole box of saran wrap to wrap up the cake, but it was So worth it! Once it started to thaw out, the icing slid off of the cake, but it went back on, and was actually good!

Thought about saving the other half til next year.... :)

Off to a good start!

well, I've been watching other friends and their blogs, and decided, why not? I've done the blogging on Xanga before, but got tired of that. Hopefully this will be a fun new way to express my feelings and share events in our lives!

Today is our 1st year wedding anniversary, so what a great time to start something new!

Right now, Daniel is working at the Conway Airport and finishing up his last bit of his Bachelors degree. I graduated with my Bachelors of Science in Nursing in May 2008 and passed my boards in July. You can now call me an RN!

Hopefully this will be a new interesting way to share with others the special moments in our lives. Thanks for reading!!!
